Under the direction of the County Fire Marshal, the Contra Costa Fire Prevention Bureau provides fire prevention through public education, inspection, code enforcement and detailed plan review. The 6,200 square foot facility includes offices and work stations for 50 personnel, plan check desk and a multi-purpose room for fire department training and public education. The exterior site features include a covered drop-off area, a semi-private screened patio for employees, and bio swales with California native vegetation to control storm water runoff. The office building is currently under construction.
