Goodwill Industries Headquarters
San Francisco, CA
Goodwill utilized FEMA funds to purchase a former Coca Cola Bottling Plant built in 1925. Their vision was to transform the plant to include its Corporate Headquarters, Vocational Training Center, Commercial Contract Services and Processing Facility. In order to create a greater sense of community among the various departments, a central multipurpose gathering place was designed beneath an existing 24 foot high skylight. This gathering space is adjacent to a lunch room and kitchen and promotes casual interaction among the students, faculty, retail sales clerks and the office and plant workers that make up the Goodwill family.

SKA is a firm believer in the mission of
Goodwill, and you can see that reflected
in their architecture.
