Based on a desire to create a better working environment for its employees and to strengthen the sense of community within its plant and in the adjacent neighborhood, the Kellogg Company commissioned Harish Shah to develop a conceptual master plan for the San Leandro production facility. The Master Plan included a new pedestrian bridge, upgrading of the existing administrative office building, a new employee locker room, and a cafeteria.

The Master Plan resulted in additional design commissions for a new Credit Union, conference/training center, employee locker rooms, and a cafeteria that has also become a landmark space for the community of Kellogg’s employees.
