Due to the aging of the Alameda County Sheriff’s Regional Training Facility and extensive changes in housing construction in its vicinity, a master plan was prepared to evaluate existing facilities and their correspondence to the current mandated training program and needs, anticipating future physical plant expansion and proper siting of new facilities. The master plan reconfigures existing components such as classrooms, simulators, offices, Emergency Vehicle Operators Courses, firing ranges, and scenario village and incorporates new state-of-the-art training facilities.
