Casa Kea‘s living room was designed to afford terraced ocean views to the west, with the light of the sun capturing the curve of the clerestory roof. To the east, a courtyard sculptured with lava rock and water provides a quiet walled sanctuary. Other spaces include a guest bedroom court surrounded by a reflecting pool, a desert garden with a vaulted lap pool and bedrooms with terraced ocean views. The project takes full advantage of its natural setting with polished concrete and wood floors, lava rock at water features, carved stone vanities and custom glazed sliding doors.
